Men need to shave (though not all of us would agree). However, those of us who do shave, need to make sure only the best shaving supplements are used. We at Dan Reviews think that one of the most important aspects of a good, soothing, comfortable shave is the shaving cream that is being used. We had spent several hours comparing the best shaving creams out there.
Factors taken into consideration are: shave performance, lathering ability, and scent. As a result, we had chosen the best 3 shaving creams to tell you about.
Product | Our Score |

Jack Black – Supreme Cream Triple Cushion Shave Lather | 95/100 |
L’Occitane Cade Shaving Cream | 90/100 |
Luxury Shaving Cream for Men | 96/100 |
Jack Black – Supreme Cream Triple Cushion Shave Lather
($28 at the time of publication)
We had found the Jack Black Supreme Cream Triple Cushion Shave Lather to have a pleasant scent while also being very gentle on the skin. And as far as shaving performance and lathering ability goes, we think that the fact that the razor didn’t have to touch the same area twice speaks loudly for both, as the overall experience was what felt like an ultimate, ultra-close shave.
Such great results were achieved thanks to the triple-cushion technology, which, according to the manufacturer, features three proactive hydrating layers, allowing the razor to glide very close to the skin, while protecting the skin from cuts, burns and ncks. It is also worth mentioning that this product contain alcohol, fragrance, or colorants ,and can be used with a brush, as well as without one.

L’Occitane Cade Shaving Cream
($29 at the time of publication)
If you are a fan of organic oils (as most of the experts here at Dan Reviews are), you will find the L’Occitane Cade Shaving Cream a pleasure to use, because it is enriched with cade essential oil. What really added to the benefit of cade essential oil being used as the base was the use of a vegetable-based glycerine (which is great for moisturizing) and an addition of protective shea butter, which in turn adds even more smoothness.
Those components combined turn this particular shaving cream into the best shaving cream based on natural components. The results were those of an awesome quality. The expert reviewing this cream notes that the skin feels refreshed after using it, and his face didn’t have any cuts and irritations after using it. It felt like using a shaving cream and an after-shave at the same time, leaving the skin clean and smooth. Oh, and the scent reminded us of that of an early morning in the woods.

Luxury Shaving Cream
($9.88 at the time of publication)
Luxury Shaving Cream (Sandalwood Scent) can be described as something very manly and masculine. No wonder the company that makes it has vikings mentioned in its name. The cream lathers up very-very quickly, and you need just a little bit of it to build the lather. Of course, depending on how many passes you do with your razor and how thick your beard is, you might need more, but just a little bit (a scoop with a finger) was enough for our expert to build quite a bit of lather.
It is also worth mentioning, that according to our experience with this particular cream, it didn’t require much water to build up a lather either. After about 30 seconds of building up the shaving cream lather (we used a shaving brush and a bowl), we got a consistent, creamy, almost yogurt like substance that had a smooth feel and a creamy look to it.
Those looks were not deceiving, and the shaving cream proved to giving a really nice level of lubrication once applied to the skin. The razor felt like it was just gliding across with every application. We have to admit, our expert is very happy with the results. There were no irritation or cuts after shaving. Being sandalwood scent it’s got a terrific scent, and the overall experience feelt old-school, almost like visiting a barber shop without leaving the comfort of your home. This is one of the best shaving creams at such and affordable price.
